Precision Electrical & Air executed a comprehensive installation of the Daikin FDYAN160AV1 16.0kW ducted air conditioning system. The indoor unit was strategically located within the ceiling space above the void, while the outdoor condenser was securely affixed to the front balcony wall with rubber feet to enhance stability. Connections between the indoor and outdoor units were carefully concealed within the ductwork as they emerged from the ceiling space.

To facilitate effective water drainage, two drainage systems were implemented from the indoor unit and safety tray, directing water towards the external gutter. The installation involved meticulous positioning of ducting, branch takeoffs, zone motors, and air plenums throughout the ceiling space, ensuring seamless integration with the indoor unit. A return air grille was also installed in the upstairs hallway to optimise airflow throughout the system.

A dedicated electrical sub-circuit was created, extending from the switchboard to the outdoor unit. This included an NHP isolation switch conveniently located next to the condenser. In the upstairs hallway, a MyZone Multipoint touchpad zone controller was installed, facilitating intuitive temperature management linked directly to the zone motors.

An independent electrical circuit was established from the switchboard to the outdoor condenser, which included an NHP isolation switch for enhanced safety. An Aspen Silent+ Mini condensation pump was installed beneath the indoor unit and connected to the nearest stormwater downpipe to facilitate efficient drainage. After installation, the system underwent thorough commissioning to ensure optimal performance.
