This project featured the provision and installation of a Daikin ducted system on the upper floor, complemented by a Daikin high-wall split system located in the living room downstairs.

Precision Electrical & Air executed a meticulous installation of the Daikin FDYAN160AV1 16.0kW ducted air conditioning system. The indoor unit was strategically positioned within the ceiling space above the void, while the condenser was securely mounted on the front balcony wall, using rubber feet to enhance stability. All connections between the indoor and outdoor units were carefully concealed within ductwork as they exited the ceiling space.

To facilitate effective water drainage, two drainage systems were installed from the indoor unit and safety tray leading to the external gutter. The installation involved precise placement of ducting, branch takeoffs, zone motors, and air plenums throughout the ceiling space, ensuring seamless integration with the indoor unit. A return air grille was also installed in the upstairs hallway to optimise the system’s airflow.

A dedicated electrical sub-circuit was created, extending from the switchboard to the outdoor unit, featuring an NHP isolation switch conveniently situated next to the condenser. In the upstairs hallway, a MyZone Multipoint touchpad zone controller was installed, offering intuitive temperature control directly linked to the zone motors.

A dedicated electrical circuit was established from the switchboard to the outdoor condenser, which included an NHP isolation switch for enhanced safety. An Aspen Silent+ Mini condensation pump was installed beneath the indoor unit, connected to the nearest stormwater downpipe to facilitate efficient drainage. Upon completion, the system underwent comprehensive commissioning to ensure optimal performance.
