This project involved the supply and installation of a Daikin ducted system on the upper level and a Daikin high-wall split system positioned in the living room downstairs.

Precision Electrical & Air executed a detailed installation of the Daikin FDYAN160AV1 16.0kW ducted air conditioning system. The indoor unit was strategically located within the ceiling space above the void, while the condenser was securely mounted on the front balcony wall using rubber feet to enhance stability. All connections between the indoor and outdoor units were carefully hidden within ductwork exiting from the ceiling space.

To facilitate effective water drainage, two drainage systems were installed from the indoor unit and safety tray leading to the external gutter. The installation process involved meticulous placement of ducting, branch takeoffs, zone motors, and air plenums throughout the ceiling space, ensuring seamless integration with the indoor unit. A return air grille was fitted in the upstairs hallway to optimise airflow throughout the system.

A dedicated electrical sub-circuit was created, running from the switchboard to the outdoor unit, featuring an NHP isolation switch conveniently positioned next to the condenser. In the upstairs hallway, a MyZone Multipoint touchpad zone controller was installed, providing intuitive temperature control directly linked to the zone motors.

In the downstairs living room, the Daikin FTXV80W 8.0kW high-wall reverse cycle split system was installed with precision. New ducting, interconnect cables, and copper pair coils were added to connect the indoor and outdoor units. The condenser was mounted on rubber feet to ensure stability during operation.

A dedicated electrical circuit was established from the switchboard to the outdoor condenser, including an NHP isolation switch for safety. An Aspen Silent+ Mini condensation pump was installed beneath the indoor unit and connected to the nearest stormwater downpipe, facilitating efficient drainage. After installation, the system underwent thorough commissioning to ensure optimal performance.
